2011 Adult Mission Trip:
- October 30—November 5, 2011
- Navajo Reservation, Hardrock, Arizona
- With approximately 200,000 inhabitants, spanning over 17 million acres, the Navajo Nation has received little attention from the outside world. It is like they have been forgotten altogether. The TLC team worked with churches and local ministries like NAOM, reaching out to people with simple acts of love. Work projects (painting, minor home repair, repairing fences or clearing brush) coupled with children’s Bible classes, provided opportunities to fill a need for love and relationship. Nightly worship prepared our team to share the common experience of serving the poor of our country. At the end of the week, our team continued the discovery with a visit to one of our nation’s richest treasures: the Grand Canyon!
No further adult mission trips are currently planned, but there will most likely be another trip in the fall of 2012.
